Bill Kriews, PGA

Director of Golf
Bill joined JCD Sports Group in 2004, leaving his position as head professional at a private club in New Jersey for the last 14 years. His duties include overseeing the management of golf operations, promoting an exceptional golf experience and providing excellent services and programs for all of the customers at Delray Beach Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Club. Bill joined the PGA of America in 1989, and has been fortunate to study under some of Golf Digest’s Top 100 teachers. Bill has been married to his wife Sara since 1985. Bill and Sara have two children, Eric and Samantha.

 


 
 


 

Rick Durham, PGA Professional

Mr. Durham has been a PGA Professional for over 24 years. Prior to joining the JCD team Mr. Durham was Head Professional at Cypress Creek Country Club for 26 years.  Mr. Durham specializes in all phases of junior instruction and assisted area schools with their golf programs. He has been providing adult group and individual instruction for 34 years. Mr. Durham has organized and directed many group and corporate outings and is a skilled calligrapher. Mr. Durham has had three published instruction articles in Golf Illustrated magazine.  He is certified in all phases of club building and repair. While in college he played on the FAU Golf team which were 1976 NAIA section champions and has competed in many state and local golf tournaments.

 

 

 


 


 

Jeffrey St. Louis, GCSAA, Class A Golf Course Superintendent

  • Associates, Turfgrass Management, Stockbridge School of Agriculture
  • Bachelors, Plant and Soil Sciences, UMASS Amherst

Jeff has been employed with JCD Sports Group, since October 2006. He started as an Assistant at Southwinds Golf Course, obtained his SM membership through GCSAA in 2007 qualifying him to become a Class A Superintendent October 30th 2010, and is the current Superintendent at Delray Beach Golf Club.. He has also spent a year a Boca West as an Assistant, and a year and a half at Ballymead Country Club in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He started working at Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, Massachusetts working weekends when he was 15 years old and has not looked back since.

 

 



Vaughn Avis
Director of Food and Beverage

Born and raised in Durban, South Africa. After graduating college, moved to Florida in 1999 and has had a focused career in the food and beverage industry. Working up through the management ranks at some of the finest private country clubs in south Florida, he had the opportunity to work and learn from some of the best people in the industry today. After working as the Director of Food and Beverage at a private club in Broward, Vaughn joined Delray Beach golf club in June 2010. Vaughn brings over a decade of food and beverage management experience to Delray Beach golf club.
 


 

Chef Louis Ellenbogen

Mr. Ellenbogen was hired by the Delray Beach Golf Club as the Chef in late 2007. He brings over 30 years in the culinary field with him. His father Phil & family, owned and operated, over the years, many successful operations around South Florida, including Luv’n Oven, Abetta Italian Cuisine, Thick and Thin Pizza and finally Phil’s Better Pizza in Boca Raton. He was later hired for the Grand Opening of T.G.I Friday’s at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton where he stayed for 2 years before be hired at the 5 star 5 diamond Boca Raton Resort & Club in 1984.
While employed at the Beach Club, he began working with tops chefs such as Herbert Bergen, Walter Sheib, former White House Chef Clifford Pleau, Steve Gallusci and James Reaux. In the summer of ’89 he was introduced to Nickolas Nicholas while working as the chef of the Cabana Terrace. After 3 months of training in Chicago, he returned to the Grand opening of Nick’s Fishmarket as the Saucier Chef. He continued to work for Nick & the Hotel for another 6 years.
He then left in ‘95 to become Executive Chef / Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at the Bahia Cabana Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. 6 years later, he was compelled to return and continue his working relationship with the Boca Resort and return to Nick as his Executive Chef. He has been invited to cook for the James Beard Centennial Dinner, Boca Resort Food & Wine Weekends, Wine Dinners sponsored by Beniziger, Caymus, Opus & the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
He left in 2006 and began working on the 175’ M/V Lady Windridge based out of New York City & Fort Lauderdale where he stayed until coming on board with us.


Beth Mullen

Director of Catering and Banquet Services

Ms. Mullen is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has been at the Delray Beach Golf Club since 1998. She has moved through the corporate ladder and was promoted to the Director of Catering in 2002. Her wonderful attitude and level of dedication has meant a significant increase in customer loyalty and monthly sales
volume. Ms. Mullen is the point person for coordinating banquets, weddings, private parties or any celebration. Her attention to detail and customer satisfaction has turned the Delray Beach Golf Club facility into a desired
location for intimate, glamorous or fun affairs.

 


Llewellyn Anthony
Starting his career in catering in the set up department, outstanding work ethic led to his promotion to banquet captain. Years of dedication and hard work at Boca West country club led to a catering management position in one of the largest and finest catering departments in south Florida.
Delray Beach golf club looks to utilize Llewellyn’s years of catering experience to enhance the overall experience of each of our guests. Llewellyn brings with him exceptional attention to detail and exemplary customer service.
