The Mayor and Commissioners Putting Challenge

            Lois Frankel, West Palm Beachs Mayor, was at the golf course defend her putting title before a crowd of about sixty on November 30th.
            The event began with a driving contest between the Citys High School teams which drew the attention of the gathering. Ariel Martin from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts was the Girls Champion and Jonathon Lawson from Forest Hill High School took the honors for the men. All the high school participants received prizes.
            The Putting Challenge followed with Commissioner Ike Robinson edging the Mayor and Commissioner Bill Moss by a few putts to claim the trophy. There were children from the West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation after school programs that enjoyed the contest and a visit from Ronald McDonald. 
            The Mayor graciously awarded William Bohannon with a proclamation in appreciation of his fifty years of service, as an employee of the West Palm Beach Golf Course.
            It was a great time for all, as the Mayor and Commissioners were already discussing a rematch.
